This is a chance for the students to use as many as of the grammar points they have learnt in one speech. It’s a fun challenge and will result in funny speeches. Award points for every TL and word they use and take away a percentage if their speech doesn’t make much sense and is too crazy.
Also add a bonus (for whatever reason) at the end.
They marking scheme is deliberately convoluted to make it more fun and less of a strict test.
Try and keep all the score close together as we should mark the effort/communication mainly and less on the exact grammar. It’s a communicative speech after all.
You should choose a topic otherwise the student groups will have a hard time deciding what to write about.
