Student work in pairs. Give one student a monster card. They cannot show it to the other student. They have to describe the monster for the other student to draw on a piece of paper.
Once they finish take the card from the student and give a fresh monster to the other student so they get a chance to describe. They can keep swapping until time runs out.
There is a big sheet for the board to help out. Try and show through demonstration that they can use other words that are not on the paper. The student drawing can also ask questions like…”big eye?” “What shape?”… etc
